Reconstructing brands

The Brief: Provide a rebranding solution for the McLaren Group.

The Solution: In their nine years of business McLaren have established themselves as a firm that provides quality across a range of construction and property services. We were keen to build on the recognition and familiarity that they have worked hard to gain; accordingly we encouraged a brand refresh rather than a complete overhaul and rebrand.

With a reputation in their industry for providing no-nonsense solutions, we felt it was only right that their branding should reflect the same values. The new master logo is type set in the font Clan, with a bold use of black and white. We flew out to Monaco, where we presented our ideas in true style; on a 45 foot yacht and were pleased to head home with a green light.

The project reached across the whole family of businesses: construction, furniture and interior, property, international solutions and also all of their communications: internal publications, emails, the corporate website, onsite materials, printed literature and corporate stationary. We evolved the brand and introduced consistent themes that brought diversity and unity to each department.

The brand was unveiled at the newly completed City of Westminster College and can be seen on their new website.
